oops! a whole month!

And a busy and fun month it's been!  The kids have been involved in so many fun activities I can hardly keep up!

Jaryse did a Worship Arts camp, then our whole family went to a Family Deaf Camp, then the kids went to Spring Hill Day camp and this week Jaryse will get to do a Vacation Bible School! We have also been blessed to be able to go to Grand Haven a few times for Worship on the Waterfront and have seen some amazing acts including Josh Wilson, MikesChair and Mark Schultz! This is all while continuing with Ecrissa's already weekly scheduled therapies!  Wow!!!! We are so blessed!!!!

The adoption process is so far going as good as can be expected!  We are so excited to bring our little girl home and include her in all of the fun activities!!!!  I have been told that for this particular "leg" of the process, the waiting period is about 60-90 days.  We are at about day 36!  I just heard about a family who waited 2.5 months and they had a paperwork glitch!  That seems quick!  I am so used to Haitian adoption timelines and basically, NOTHING HAPPENS IN 2 MONTHS! LOL!  I am hopeful that we'll get some good news soon!

We are still fundraising!  As soon as this step is over....hopefully in the next month or 2, we will begin the process for planning our travel to China to pick up our girl.  That is EXPENSIVE!  It is estimated to cost is about $5,000 per person to travel, stay, eat, etc during the finalization of the adoption and return home.

Please, go to our GoFundMe page if you are interested in helping us!   Every little bit helps us bring her home!

I used to go to Grand Haven when I was young to see the "Music Fountain." My grandma lived in Muskegon.

I know what you mean about Haitian adoptions! In 1997, the Haitian side of it took six months for us! (Much longer for us to get our paperwork ready since we were stationed in England). in 2007 we started another Haitian adoption and were at 932 days or so when the earthquake brought them home.

Isn't Mark Schultz great!! He was our pastor when he lived here in Michigan. Good luck with your adoption and fund raising . I would help if I could, but as a single mom of three special needs kids I have to struggle to make ends meet.
