Happy 2 year Anniversary!!!!!

Of what you might ask???? Well, of me coming to Haiti for a "short" trip to wait for this adoption to be done!!!!! I know, I know, all of you that heard me say before I left that I'd only be gone for about 6 months. I didn't lie, really really, I had no idea what was in store for me!!!!!!!! I have been here in Haiti now for 2 years. The funny thing is I am sure this is what God had in store from me right from the beginning. Of course, He didn't tell me that because He knew that I was in no position to handle all that information. As hard as things have been for me, I am so extremely thankful for the time that I have had with my children. I am so happy that I didn't miss out on more of their young lives than I had already. I am amazed at how good they are doing, how wonderfully mine they are and how awesome their development is! I am thankful for the things that I have learned while being here in Haiti. I have learned so much about the Lord and my relationship with the Lord has grown way more than i ever even knew it needed too!!!! I have learned so much about myself and what is truly important in this life. I thank the Lord for my two children every day and I know that I do NOT deserve them and I take this job of being their mommy very very seriously!!!!

We are thankful for being a family--Sad that Michigan State lost in the Sweet 16--but, lets focus on the positives right!!!!! LOL!!!!

I know some people in the South that are happy you are still here! You have blessed our family so much with helping Jabez! So, when you coming again? I haven't seen your cutie kids in awhile!

Cheri Kay,
I know that you are where you are for a reason! Our God needed you there not only to help prepare your children but for some of his kids in Haiti that needed you to be healthier!
2 yrs is along time but what a blessing for your babies to have their Momma there to take care of them, instead of waiting in a O with who knows how many others not getting one on one time from anybody!

Art, Ecrissa, and her friend!!!

So, I think, Ecrissa has an imaginary friend and she is so cute with this little friend. She will often look off to the the side and use sign language with this little friend. Sometimes I'll tell Ecrissa to "come" and she'll actually look up at her "friend" and sign "wait", telling her friend to wait for her there!!! It's so cute. Anyway, the two video's are with my friend Art, who apparently was introduced to Ecrissa's friend. He even got to share his food with her! My digital camera takes video without sound, so there isn't any sound with this, but really, the only sound missing is Ecrissa's giggling all the way through!!!!!! This is the second bit, where you can actually see Ecrissa giggle!!!!! My little girl sure does keep me on my toes and laughing!!!! Gotta love her to pieces!!!!!

H E A L T H

I am back!!! LOL!  It's been awhile since I've done any blogging!  When I looked at the last blog entry, it was 9 days before I left for China to pick up my baby girl!  I guess things got a little to busy to keep up with blogging....to say the least.  Thinking back, I remember that last week and a half.  I was a tornado of emotions, the list of things on my "to do" list was longer than the Mackinaw Bridge and I had no idea how much my life was going to change! I have to admit, I have loved being a momma of three!  I seriously believe that I am the luckiest person in the entire world. I really do like blogging.  It's good for me.  It helps me process some of the crazy in my life.  Believe me, as a single full time working momma of three kids with some special and unique needs, things can get a little crazy around here. We are home.

Wow!!!!! What a day!!!!! We (and I mean all three of us!!!! Wow, my kids are in the states!!!! What an amazing thing!) have arrived in MI and made it safely to my dad's house. It was a long day, but the kids did really well. They loved the airplane and Jaryse loved looking at "the city" as we flew over Miami last night. I held it all together until we landed in Miami and I heard the pilot or whoever say "welcome to Miami" at that point I cried. I couldn't believe I had actually made it to the USA with my two little munchkins. I had a smooth time through immigration both in Port au Prince and in Miami, and both flights went smoothly. I am so thankful to the Lord for protecting us through this whole ordeal and making these last few steps easier than the first few! I am still in a bit of shock, although, it might just be that I am FREEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZING. Maybe after I get used to the cold my brain and body will work a little more efficiently! I am so t
