Oh my goodness!

So much has happened, I haven't even had time to update my blog!!!!! Ok, so I have missed so much, I don't even know if i can update it all! I had a wonderful birthday and I am so thankful for all the birthday wishes and the donations to charity for my birthday! (If you didn't see it, check it out on my facebook, causes Ancheri Care, birthday wish). I am thrilled at the generosity and kindness of all who gave to Ancheri Care in the name of my birthday!

I don't know, probably by now everyone knows, but last Thurs, we got the signature from MOI for our adoption! WHOOOO HOOOO!!! We have been waiting for that particular signature for 20 months! Yes, that is not a typo, TWENTY! I am so thrilled I can hardly stand it! i went into the Embassy for the initial I-600 meeting today, and so far everything is in order and when we get our passports in our hands we can move onto the next step! Very exciting!

I did spend 5 days in LA with some wonderful friends, Reed and Allison Garwood. I was audited by the IRS and everything turned out fine. It was a bit nerve racking, but it did give me a wonderful excuse to get out of Haiti (first time in over 17 months) and to spend some time with lots of old and new friends! Reed and Allison deserve some type of Noble Peace Prize for putting up with me and all of my needs for those 4 days!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much Garwoods!!!!!! If you want to see a bit about some of our adventures in LA, check out Allison's blog, www.haitibaby.blogspot.com , she was much better than I was about keeping up with blogging, Facebook and emails!!!!!!!

Well, that is the extent of my update for today! I am still catching up from my travels! I'll share more later!!!

Friday Night Fun!!!!

Well, we finished our first week back into our normal routine! Well, that is if there is such a thing as normal in Haiti!!! Ecrissa had a great week back at school, Jaryse is struggling with a little cough, but nothing big, and my schedule filled up right away! Friday night though, we just hung out at home! I made my grandmothers "Boiled Dinner" recipe and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Thanks of course to a couple of phone calls to my mom (cause I couldn't get ahold of grandma) to answer a couple questions!!!! Then, while that was cooking on the stove, the kids and I made cupcakes!
They love helping by stirring.......

Putting frosting on.........

And then of course EATING THEM!!!!

We then lounged around with music on and then later a movie! It was nice! We do somersaults adn stuff often in our living room, and Ecrissa has decided that she wants to learn how to do a backbend. So, a couple of weeks ago, I started teaching them how to do bridges!

Jaryse is sorta getting the idea!!!!!

But little Miss E has IT!!!! She lays down on the floor and pushes right up into a beautiful bridge!!!! Maybe the next Olympic Champion???????? :) I am just amazed at her everyday! When she was a baby I wasn't sure what her functional abilities would be! Here she is, a forward rolling, backbending, hoola-hooping amazing 5 year old little girl! Thank you Jesus for protecting this little Angel!

I did NOT write this.......

but, I enjoyed it. I am entering into this New Year with a commitment to Prayer. I am hopeful for all that this New Year has to offer and I am dedicating myself to prayer. I did not write this prayer, but I did enjoy it. I hope you do too!

NEW School prayer :

Now I sit me down in school Where praying is against the rule For this great nation under God Finds mention of Him very odd.
If Scripture now the class recites, It violates the Bill of Rights. And anytime my head I bow Becomes a Federal matter now.
Our hair can be purple, orange or green, That's no offense; it's a freedom scene. The law is specific, the law is precise. Prayers spoken aloud are a serious vice.

For praying in a public hall Might offend someone with no faith at all. In silence alone we must meditate, God's name is prohibited by the state.

We're allowed to cuss and dress like freaks, And pierce our noses, tongues and cheeks.. They've outlawed guns, but FIRST the Bible. To quote the Good Book makes me liable.

We can elect a pregnant Senior Queen, And the 'unwed daddy,' our Senior King. It's 'inappropriate' to teach right from wrong, We're taught that such 'judgments' do not belong.

We can get our condoms and birth controls, Study witchcraft, vampires and totem poles. But the Ten Commandments are not allowed, No word of God must reach this crowd.

It's scary here I must confess, When chaos reigns the school's a mess.. So, Lord, this silent plea I make: Should I be shot; My soul please take! Amen

So far, a restful new year!!!!

I kinda like that the 1st is a holiday. We have started out the new year fully rested and spent quality time together as a family! Perfect!!! I am so thrilled to have my babies with me. I am still struggling with some depression and sadness right now, but I am improving. Having some down time and time to sleep and rest with my kids has been just what I needed I think. The other day, Ecrissa spent the night with her teacher. She had a blast! It was so much fun for her. It also gave me and Jaryse some "mommy/son" time! That was nice for us too. We were both very excited to have Ecrissa back home though! The house feels a little empty without her little self there!!!!!!
These pictures were in the car while we were waiting to "hand" Ecrissa off to her teacher for the night. I think Jaryse is practicing for GQ!! LOL, if there are any GQ reps out there reading this, HE'S ONLY 4!!!! PLEASE WAIT!!!! lol Just kidding!

Ecrissa was so excited she could hardly stand it! And, thanks to Aunt Dawn and Cousin Kyla for the really cute shirt!!!!!!!

This really is a laugh, although looks almost like a cry! You should hear her giggle though! It's so fun to hear her little voice when she giggles!
HAPPY NEW YEAR
